The first apple trees were planted in Limousin in 1957, on the La Meynie estate. Local enthusiasm was considerable, and the first packaging station was set up in 1963.
For over 50 years, Meylim has continued to invest in an infrastructure incorporating state-of-the-art new technologies. The company provided itself with a new packaging station in the year 2000.
In 2005, the Limousin Apple was rewarded by obtention of its PDO (Protected Designation of Origin).
